Known for being a city for golf carts with 100 miles of multi-use paths winding through the city and designated golf cart parking spaces at businesses.
All children should have the space to play. At lakeside Picnic Park, the Luther Holt All Children’s Playground is accessible to kids with mobility challenges and in wheelchairs. The playground features slides, climbing structures and is shaded by umbrellas.
Hold a family-friendly competition with disc golf. Peachtree City’s Village Green Park has a nine-hole disc golf course; frisbee golf discs are available for rent with your library card at the Peachtree City Library.
Have a delicious pizza night with Buck’s Pizza. This pizza parlor offers incredible specialty pizza flavors! Check out the cheddar broccoli with sour cream ranch, broccoli, bacon, red onion and mozzarella cheese; or taco with sour cream ranch, lettuce, mozzarella, cool ranch chips, beef, cheddar and picante sauce.
For a delightful fine dining experience, try The Curious Pig. The menu offers small plates, sandwiches, steaks and more, while the kids can enjoy cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, tacos, quesadillas, mac and cheese or tenders. Visit during brunch for a twist on breakfast fare.
Go on a Southern Hollywood Film Tour to visit location sites for multiple movies and TV shows, including “The Walking Dead,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Sweet Home Alabama.” The tour departs from Peachtree City.
Head to Peachtree City for the Commemorative Air Force, which restores and preserves combat aircraft. While the museum is currently under renovation, you can check out their larger displays. Also, book a warbird ride for a thrilling flight in a historic WWII airplane; riders must be at least 12 years of age.
Peachtree City has four gorgeous nature areas. The Line Creek Nature Area has a hardwood forest, granite outcroppings, a rushing stream, a fishing dock on a small pond, a gazebo and almost three miles of trails. Flat Creek Nature Area consists of two viewing decks along Flat Creek. Somerby Woods Nature Area boasts walking trails, a small pond and a serene outdoor environment. A passive park on Lake Peachtree Island, Spyglass Island has a pedestrian bridge, large trees for shade, a walking trail around the island and a few seating areas.
