Located near Moreland Avenue in South DeKalb, Constitution Lakes Park is an easy, kid-friendly hike and a fun place to spend a couple of hours enjoying nature and art. What makes this park particularly unique is the walking trail known as “Doll’s Head Trail” in the middle of the park, which is full of folk art from local Atlanta artists and park volunteers.

About five miles from Downtown Atlanta, it’s a quiet park with a beautiful lake, trails and wetlands which provide refuge for birds and other plants and animals. You will enter off Moreland Avenue to free parking. The trail entrances are nearby. Bring bug spray and watch for poison ivy as you enjoy the park.

The highlight of the park is the quirky Doll’s Head Trail, a walking trail full of folk art created by local Atlanta artists and park volunteers.

Round trip with stops in the middle to enjoy art at Doll’s Head Trail is about 1.5 miles. With two kids in tow, we enjoyed the park for about 2 hours.
