Mall of Georgia

Nothing beats mall play areas for free, energy-burning fun! Pack up the kids and head to one of our favorite play spaces.

Mall of Georgia in Buford

The Play Area has three zones designed for different age groups: toddlers, ages 2-5 and ages 5-10. The area includes interactive technology, educational elements, LED lights, a jungle walk with moving pods and more. You can watch your child on comfortable seating while you charge your phone. When the weather heats back up, visit again for the outdoor play experience at The Park in The Village.

North Point Mall in Alpharetta

Children love to take a break from shopping at this soft play area. Kids have the choice of climbing (on an ambulance, fire station dog and a bridge), or running laps around the “street” in the play area. Parents can sit and supervise on the soft benches surrounding the area. Bonus for the grown-ups: this one has tables, chairs and a charging station. Located on the lower level near Dillard’s. Go on a ride on the carousel, which is located in the food court and costs $3, and chug along on the Peachtree Express trackless train for more fun.

Cumberland Mall in West Atlanta

Kids can get the wiggles out by climbing on the under-the-sea themed structures. This enclosed, soft play area also has a large TV screen, keeping younger kids entertained even longer. Near Round1 and the food court.

Avalon

Avalon in Alpharetta

Mixed-use destination Avalon has an indoor/outdoor playground. The 1,300-square-foot squirrel-themed interactive play area gives children ages six and younger a space to play. You can relax while your kids go nuts with squirrels! A neat feature: garage-style doors are open in good weather and closed when it’s cold. Located next to Regal Cinemas and Kona Grill.

Plaza Fiesta

Plaza Fiesta houses the largest indoor playground in Georgia with multiple stories of slides, climbing equipment, play structures and more. The vibrant and colorful mall is a fun place to visit no matter when you go, as it transports you to a Latin American street market. Visit every Sunday at 2 p.m. for entertainment for the whole family.

Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville

While this mall doesn’t have a play space, visit for a spin around on the carousel, which is located in the Food Court.

IKEA in Midtown

Småland is a supervised play facility where you can drop your child off for free while you shop. The area features play equipment, a quiet area, coloring, crafts and more. Children must be between 37″-54,” must be potty trained and can only play for a 30-minute period. For IKEA Family Members, children can stay in the play area for an additional 30 minutes.
