New Indoor Family Fun Spaces
Jumping World
4200 Wade Green Rd. NW, Kennesaw
770-672-7616; jumpingworldusa.com/kennesaw
Jumping World is large, brightly lit and colorful. In addition to trampolines, it has two huge dodge-ball courts, an arcade and a concession area, plus a jumping house for toddlers and a Walking Water Ball area.
My kids loved the new trampoline center in Kennesaw – we spent more than two hours there. My 4-year-old even jumped and she never does! My 7-year-old, who met 6- and 7-year-old classmates there, spent lots of time in the foam pits.
What kids really like: My kids really liked the foam pits with the swinging rope. The pits are filled with big blocks of foam that the kids can jump into from a platform or swing from a braided rope attached to the ceiling. My kids liked to run and grab the rope to swing as far as they could before dropping into the blocks of rubber foam.
What parents should know: I really loved all the comfortable seating, and the huge and clean bathrooms with tons of stalls. Jumping areas were well supervised and safe, and the staff was amazing – they actually played with the kids. Socks are required and has a no denim clothing policy for those jumping on the trampolines. Save time at check-in by printing a waiver from the website in advance.

NinjaQuest Parkour and Ninja Warrior
1465 Canton Road, Marietta
770-670-0279; ninjaquestfitness.com
When we arrived, the welcoming staff provided a tour of the facility from the party room to the viewing room to the fitness floor. We had signed up for the (mandatory) Intro to PK-Warrior class. Under the guidance of experienced Ninja Warrior/Parkour instructors, we were shepherded through the climbs and jumps of each station.
What kids really like: My 8- and 10-year-old boys especially enjoyed tackling the Salmon Ladder, the unstable bridge and more. They loved leading me through the gym and coaching me on where to stand, grip and jump my way to success.
What parents should know: NinjaQuest allows you to set your own goal. Some come to have fun, some come to sharpen their thinking skills, while others dream of making it to American Ninja Warrior status. Safety is a high priority, with instructors watching closely until each station had been successfully negotiated. You can fill out waivers in advance.
