The High-Five List:

Enjoy a Gwinnett Stripers game at Coolray Field, which features a 360-degree concourse for unique views of the field. Home to the minor league baseball team, the stadium also hosts concerts and events. You can watch from various types of seating, including chairbacks, picnic tables or the large outfield berm for a more relaxed experience. During a game, enjoy the Kids Zone or host a birthday party.

Animal lovers will have a blast at Creekwater Alpaca Farm in Snellville. Get up close and personal with the alpacas when you feed them treats or take a selfie. The animal habitat is also home to ponies, Nigerian dwarf goats, kune kune pigs and miniature donkeys.

Shop, play, eat and enjoy community events in Downtown Lawrenceville. The historic square is home to Aurora Theatre and Lawrenceville Lawn — a central park that features an amphitheater, playground, green space and restrooms. The city sponsors a concert series, Free Comic Book Day, Harvest Festival and more. Also, enjoy free parking with 1,200 spaces available.

Rain or shine, splash around at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center in Lawrenceville. Available for year-round fun, the indoor facility features a leisure pool with zero-depth entry, giant waterslide, lazy river, play structures and sprayers, and hydrotherapy benches. For those learning to swim, classes are offered as well.

Feast on food and fun at Medieval Times in Lawrenceville. The two-hour experience features a four-course meal and entertainment, including authentic sword fights and jousting. If you’ve been before, now is the time to return because there’s a new show to enjoy!

More Fun Spots

The Diner at Webb Gin. This Snellville spot has an extensive kids’ menu with breakfast and lunch/dinner options with affordable prices.

A public library branch. Several locations are walkable from parks and feature evening story times and other family-friendly events.

Sugarloaf Mills. Located in Lawrenceville, this mall has it all — kid-friendly shops like Carter’s and  the LEGO Store, Medieval Times, Altitude Trampoline Park, a movie theater, Dave & Buster’s and more.

Enjoy the great outdoors! Spend the day at 178-acre Lenora Park in Snellville. Highlights include a fishing lake, playground and outdoor pool (seasonal). Sporty kids will enjoy the football/multi-purpose field with lighted walking track, six baseball/softball fields and 18-hole disc golf course. Or, opt for Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville. There is so much to do in the 700 acres. Non-motorized boaters can fish on the lake and kids can run wild in Ozora Meadows. There is also a playground and soft surface trails for equestrian and mountain biking exploration.
