Sharing the history of our Air Force heritage and military veterans, the museum has a collection of over 80 historic U.S. Air Force aircraft, missiles, cockpits and award-winning exhibits. Adjacent to Atlanta Motor Speedway, visitors to the museum can learn the story of the U.S. Army’s aviation program. Explore vintage aircraft dating from the Vietnam War and the Cold War, including AH1 Cobra and UH1 Huey Helicopters and an L19 Bird Dog Reconnaissance Airplane.

Take part in an interactive virtual road race and outer space exploration adventure! Science ATL’s road race is now virtual; download the Race Through Space app and and run any time. Runners take a virtual tour of the galaxy – traveling millions of light years in a 5K trip.

Civil Air Patrol’s aerospace education program promotes aerospace, aviation and STEM-related careers. The Cadet Program serves youth ages 12-20 who are interested in learning more about aviation and aerospace. To find a Civil Air Patrol squadron near you visit the website.
