High Museum of Art
This colorful and imaginative exhibition will provide a look into Maira Kalman’s picture-book career with more than 100 works on view including original drawings and paintings, manuscripts and installations. Through Sept. 15.
Atlanta Botanical Garden
Alice in Wonderland highlights the garden’s already impressive collection of living plant sculptures. Look for familiar favorites, including the rabbit, cheshire cat and chess board. Through Oct. 27.

Chattahoochee Nature Center
Explore the four elements – wind, water, earth and fire – through four outdoor art stations situated in the Center’s most picturesque locations. Create your own art, including photos, music, drawings and color matching. Sept. 15-Dec. 14.
Children’s Museum of Atlanta
This exhibit inspires children’s natural curiosity as they explore science, math and engineering through hands-on interactive play with Curious George and his friend, The Man with the Yellow Hat. Sept. 21-Jan. 5.
Fernbank Museum of Natural History
Step 1,000 years back in time to experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the greatest trading route in history – the legendary Silk Road. Sept. 28-Jan. 5.
