Leave the portable highchair and placemat at home. When you’ve got a sitter and you’re ready for an adult meal out, check out one of these date night restaurant picks in Buckhead.

Sage Woodfire Tavern Buckhead

The burgers, chicken and seafood cooked over a hickory oak wood fire grill are delicious. But the nightly live music and cushy lounge makes this a great spot for date night. If you can’t make it to Buckhead, locations are also in Alpharetta, Perimeter and east Marietta.

Gypsy Kitchen

The atmosphere is as gorgeous as the modern Spanish tapas dishes you’ll share with your SO. Mix and match several items to taste and order a couple of unique house cocktails to set the mood for a flirty evening.

Chido and Padres

Go casual with street tacos, ceviche and margaritas at this new Buckhead Baja Mexican joint. Cozy booths inside and an eye-catching deck outside are decorated with festive touches and the atmosphere is lively. Bonus points for a green date: drinks are served in 100% recycled glassware.

Divan

Go exotic with Mediterranean and Persian dishes served in a romantically lit, well-appointed historic home-turned restaurant. It’s also a hookah lounge, so in designated areas, you can try it at your table. If you head out on a weeknight, take advantage of the 3-course dinner special for $25 per person, 5-7 p.m

10 Degrees South

The first South African restaurant in the U.S. is right here in Atlanta! Go on a culinary adventure, exploring this fusion of Mediterranean, Malaysian, Portuguese, French, German, Dutch and Indian cuisine through small plates or shared platters. The décor makes you feel like you’re out of the country, and every Friday and Saturday night features live music.

La Grotta

It’s been around for decades, but La Grotta’s secluded location isn’t the easiest to find. But it’s well worth it! The Northern Italian menu changes seasonally and the wine list is huge. In warmer months, sit outside in the garden courtyard with twinkle lights and lush greenery.

Bistro Niko

Dazzling lights and cozy booths set a romantic tone at this Parisian-inspired bistro. The French cuisine changes seasonally, and the patio overlooking Peachtree Street makes for great people watching. Enjoy a craft cocktail or two and be sure to save room for dessert, like grown-up sundaes.
