6 Reasons We Love the North Georgia State Fair

September 23 - October 3

At the largest fair in the metro area, enjoy carnival rides and games, a petting zoo, pony rides, a children’s area and more!

Carnival Midway

This large carnival midway includes more than 42 twirling, spinning and fast rides for every level of thrill. Favorites include the Wildcat Rollercoaster, Georgia Mountain Lift, the Mega Slide and the Wave Swinger. Classic carnival games top off the area, where visitors can win prizes of all kinds.

New Attractions

This year, even more attractions and performances are added. The Paul Bunyan Lumber Jack Show is an action-packed competition with lumberjacks. Jurassic Kingdom has life-like dinosaurs in action, featuring Terry the talking, comical pterodactyl, Jack, a 2-month-old Brontosaurus and more. Learn more about alligators with the daring Kachunga & The Alligator Show. See large-scale street art with ARCY: Live Event Murals. The Magic Man TJ Hill performance features music, audience participation, hilarious comedy and magic.

Beautiful Baby Contest

Moms and dads can show off their new additions to the family with this contest. The judging is informal and the contestants may dress any way they wish: as cowboys, sailors, cheerleaders or in suits and dresses. Ages 0 to 36 months. Sept. 26.
