The Carlos Museum holds a collection of artwork from ancient Egypt, Nubia and the Near East; Greece and Rome; the Americas; Africa; and Asia; as well as works on paper from the Renaissance to the present. The Museum serves as a dynamic interdisciplinary center that cultivates literacy in the arts and fosters understanding of religions and cultures throughout history. Interactive field trips facilitate inquiry, foster skills such as observation, analysis, and communication, and align with the Georgia Standards of Excellence. On virtual field trips, museum educators teach students in real time, exploring a variety of subjects across collections.
