Visiting Stone Mountain Park with your class brings education to life! Our outdoor classroom features GSE-aligned programs and special events that are interactive, hands-on and fun for classes from kindergarten through high school.
Featuring two new options, the STEM programs at Stone Mountain Park provide curriculum for kindergarten through middle school. The Science of the Lasershow program explores the science of lasers and the nature of light, and how it all comes together to create the world-famous Lasershow Spectacular. In the new Top of the Mountain Adventure program, student scientists will learn about the geological forces that affect Stone Mountain and discover of this unique habitat was formed millions of years ago.
Stone Mountain Park’s social studies programs introduce your students to Georgia history. Learn about Colonial Georgia, Antebellum Life or the Civil War in Georgia all set among historically restored and preserved buildings which span over 100 years of Georgia history. And the popular Native American Festival & Pow Wow takes place each fall, featuring dance, music, authentic craft demonstrations, cooking traditions, storytelling, wildlife presentations and more.
