GRACEPOINT School is a private Christian school in Marietta serving dyslexic students in grades 1-8. The school began in 2012 with a mission to equip dyslexic students with the skills needed to develop into independent and confident learners. Students receive a comprehensive, high-quality education that combines remediation with enrichment and acceleration. GRACEPOINT is one of only 19 schools in the nation to have their instructional program accredited by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. The Orton-Gillingham method is used in all subject areas. Students receive 75 minutes of explicit reading instruction daily and the student-teacher ratio is 5-1 in reading and 8-1 in all other core subjects. The goal is to prepare students to transition back into public or private education. gracepointschool.org; 678-709-6634.
