Butterfly Encounter at CNC
No need for a kaleidoscope to see these beautiful colors at the Butterfly Encounter at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Get up close and personal with hundreds of native butterflies and make sure you bring a camera to take pictures of butterflies as they try to land on your shoulders and nose. Kids can earn points by participating in scavenger hunts and bingo cards, and “purchase” things with their points. The exhibit ends on July 31. Be a Superhero at Tellus
Mark your calendars for Superhero Saturday at the Tellus Science Museum July 9. Dress up in your favorite superhero costume and meet The Flash, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Atlanta CW will be giving away prizes and presenting shows in the Tellus Theater about the making of the DC Legends. Don’t forget to bring your camera to this fun-filled superhero day. teamLab Future Park
at Mall of Georgia
Make art and watch it come to life in this high-tech playground created by teamLab, a Japanese art collective. This interactive digital playground uses lights, sounds, videos, digital sequences, and virtual reality to blend education and play together through art. This art playground has seven works that include Sketch Aquarium and Sketch Town, where your creations are scanned into the station, as well as Light Ball Orchestra, which has giant balls in different colors that each makes a different sound and more. Fourth of July Kandy Kake Pops
Ingredients:
1 family pack of Tastykake’s Key Lime Kandy Kakes
Red and blue candy melts
Star sprinkles
Candy pop sticks
Instructions:
Insert a candy pop stick in one end of Tastykake Key Lime Kandy Kake.
Dip in melted candy melts.
Lay on parchment paper.
Decorate Kandy Kake with sprinkles.
Place in fridge for a few minutes to harden.
