Get out and explore the great outdoors! This week catch a puppet show at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, fly through the trees at Treetop Quest, enjoy a concert at Dunwoody Nature Center, pitch a tent to support wildlife and play knights and princesses at the Fayette Outdoor YMCA Castle Park.
Roswell Summer Puppet Series
This summer, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center will host nationally-touring puppeteers and their puppets in the Roswell Summer Puppet Series. A summer tradition since 1997, the series includes classic tales such as Sleeping Beauty, Billy Goat’s Gruff, and The Princess and the Pea, using marionettes, hand puppets, and more. Tickets for all shows are available at www.roswellpuppets.com and are $5 each (children under 2 are free). This year, take advantage of the Summer Pass offer for only $30. This pass is good for seven entries – offering a savings of $5! Each show is presented Monday through Saturday at 10am with an extra show at 1pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Treetop Quest
Family friendly treetop obstacle course and zip-line, starting at 4 years-old. Treetop Quest offers a treetop obstacle course & zip-lining field trip for the whole family. Its self-guided activity allows participants to soar, zip, climb, crawl, and swing between trees while learning about nature. Concerts in the Park at Dunwoody Nature Center
Bring your chair, blanket, and picnic dinner for an outdoor concert. This Saturday enjoy the music stylings of the DejaBlue Grass Band, a 5-piece bluegrass instrument ensemble guaranteed to have you and your family dancing!

Pitch a Tent and Campout for Wildlife
Whether it’s in your backyard or at a national park camping is a great way to connect with nature and wildlife. National Wildlife Federation’s (NWF) Great American Campout is a summer-long celebration of camping. This year, top NWF supporters have agreed to donate $1 for every person who participates in the Great American Campout – up to $100,000. Fayette Outdoor YMCA Castle Park
The Chimneys Lodge is a unique 13,000 sq. ft. wood castle play park open to the public throughout the year for families to play and picnic. The playground features bridges, forts, tire swings and several levels of fun. 215 Huiet Rd., Fayetteville. Free to public. Open dusk to dawn.
