Sensory Affective Play Camp
What an opportunity for your child to participate in a theme based social skills and sensory enriched summer camp. Sensory Affective Play is an intervention developed by Dr Jule Kagan an Occupational Therapist. This approach bridges the sensory challenges with emotional development and provides the base for a one of a kind, four-day camp. Your child will have opportunities to expand their social skill development while receiving evidence based sensory stimulation. What fun; with time in the sensory-motor gym , handwriting activities, creating snacks ,drama, social games and crafts.
Campers will come from many different diagnosis Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)'etc. At camp, they are first and foremost a camper. Improving their self esteem, expanding social skills and regulating their emotions are what this camp experience is about.
There are two sessions for camp June 10-13 & June 24-27 9:00 am-12:p.m. Ages for campers are 5-10. The camp is held at The Sensory Affective Play Clinic 2877 Cressington Bend, Kennesaw GA 30144 .
