Alliance Children’s
Theatre.
This branch of Woodruff Arts Center is very
family-friendly; they have a Family Series every
year that showcases fairy tales, fables and
more. Other family programming such as classes
and workshops is also offered throughout the

ART Station. A variety of
family-friendly shows are played at this
contemporary arts center. There are also a number of
educational programs at ART Station. Camps,
workshops and a teen performance
company are all ways your child can explore his/her

Atlanta Ballet. This
professional dance company offers a family package,
which includes three family-friendly shows per

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
There are many performances that children of all
ages would enjoy throughout the year. Your talented
youngster could become a member of the ASO’s Youth
Orchestra, or simply expose them to classical music

Big Top Theatre. This
community theatre company provides entertaining
shows, as well as educational opportunities for
children. Big Top’s Saturday Children’s Series
features matinee productions of classic fairy tales.

Buckhead Youth Orchestra.
Your child can see other young people on stage at

Center for Puppetry Arts.
This center offers productions for children 4 and up
throughout the year. Some shows they feature yearly
are "Rumpelstiltskin," "Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs," "Brer Rabbit & Friends" and other classic

DeKalb Symphony Orchestra.
This orchestra’s Picnic Pops series is free and
family-friendly. You can bring a blanket and food
while enjoying the sounds of classical music
(locations vary). They also perform a children’s

Ferst Center. Many of the
concerts and plays on the Ferst Center stage are
appropriate for children. The center is located at

Fox Theatre. Various
shows throughout the year focus on kids and
family-friendly themes. Some of these yearly
productions include the Atlanta Ballet and the

Georgia Philharmonic.
Classical music from Mozart to Tchaikovsky is
performed by this group and is appropriate for all
ages. The company performs at various locations in
the Atlanta area. Student tickets are available.

Georgia Shakespeare. This
troupe of actors and actresses teaches classes and
workshops year-round for children of all ages. Tours
of the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe
University are also a great way to introduce your
children to the words and works of Shakespeare.

Kudzu Playhouse. Kudzu
Playhouse is an
intimate theatre located in Roswell, that showcases
the talents of both professional and amateur actors
in the
community and the Greater Atlanta area. Along with
main stage shows that are performed year-round,
Kudzu also features several children’s shows each

Little General and Cobb Community
Playhouse and Studio. This family of six
local theater companies is a family’s best friend.
School Day Theater consists of productions put on
for kids during the school hours that complement
their lessons. There are also a number of
opportunities for children ages 7 and up to learn to

Red Door Playhouse. The
Red Door ROCKS! Family Concert Series promotes kids’
creativity and features the band "The Missing

Roswell Cultural Arts Center.
This community arts center has a 600-seat
theater that presents live productions throughout
the year. Many of the shows are appropriate for
children and teens. "Of Mice and Men" and "Sleeping

Synchronicity. This local
theatre company brings national productions to the
Atlanta stage, as well as working with Atlanta

This 23-year-old community company in Marietta has a
Children’s Theater, which features a play for
children each summer and holiday season. Some of the

Gael. Since 1987, Worldsong Children’s Theatre has been
committed to providing quality arts education to
