Happy Mother's Day!
May 2008
Micah has this new trick. Once I
leave the room for some
outrageous amount of time – like
20 seconds – whatever he’s
doing, whether it’s playing,
eating or gloriously banging two
hard objects together, he will
immediately stop and burst into
a river of tears.
It’s All About We
April 2008
Elevators and
public bathrooms are two things I do not
enjoy. I am scared to get stuck in an
elevator and I am freaked out by public
restrooms. As a matter of practice, I try to
avoid using both. But since having a baby
these are two things that have become a
regular part of my daily routine.
Body Wars
March 2008
I have 10 more pounds to lose
and I couldn’t be less enthused
about giving my workouts that
extra boost they so desperately
need. I could so do without this
soft and cushy extra bit of me
that has made a very comfortable
home around my belly and hips.
So unless I really put up a
fight, I don’t see it leaving
anytime soon.
What Is It All About?
February 2008
I think I brought my baby to a bar. I am
still not 100 percent sure. My sister, who
has two small children, made the
reservation, and I trusted her with these
details. But from the looks of things it
didn’t impress as the type of joint that
offered a kid’s menu.
Welcome to Baronhood
January 2008
My name is Lisa and this is my inaugural
monthly column in Atlanta Parent Magazine.
My new column will discuss and explore the
challenges, rewards and observations in my
new world as a wife and mother. A world I
call Baronhood.
