Happy Mother's Day!    May 2008
Micah has this new trick. Once I leave the room for some outrageous amount of time – like 20 seconds – whatever he’s doing, whether it’s playing, eating or gloriously banging two hard objects together, he will immediately stop and burst into a river of tears.

It’s All About We    April 2008
Elevators and public bathrooms are two things I do not enjoy. I am scared to get stuck in an elevator and I am freaked out by public restrooms. As a matter of practice, I try to avoid using both. But since having a baby these are two things that have become a regular part of my daily routine.

Body Wars    March 2008
I have 10 more pounds to lose and I couldn’t be less enthused about giving my workouts that extra boost they so desperately need. I could so do without this soft and cushy extra bit of me that has made a very comfortable home around my belly and hips. So unless I really put up a fight, I don’t see it leaving anytime soon.  

What Is It All About?    February 2008
I think I brought my baby to a bar. I am still not 100 percent sure. My sister, who has two small children, made the reservation, and I trusted her with these details. But from the looks of things it didn’t impress as the type of joint that offered a kid’s menu.
