Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s 2013-2014 Concerts for Young People: Tchaikovsky Discovers America! Atlanta Symphony Hall / 1280 Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, GA 30309 Tchaikovsky Discovers America! This concert is based on Tchaikovsky's visit to New York in 1891 and includes 25 excerpts from the composer's most famous music, including the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and the explosive 1812 Overture. The music is magically woven into a drama as two actors recreate historical events from the composer's life. Approximately 50 minutes. Two concerts daily at 10:OO AM and 11:40 AM Recommended for Grades 3-5 $8 General Admission / $6 Title I Schools
