The Academy
The Academy was birthed with a desire for
all things excellent and for God’s glory.
Their philosophy to embrace each child as a
unique gift from God, and that all his
children possess unlimited potential, is
what distinguishes it from others. They
believe that all of God’s children were
created and designed by Him. When you bring
your child to The Academy, they work as
“partners with parents” in peeling back the
layers to reveal the beauty of God’s
creation. The students know that they are
unconditionally loved by Jesus Christ and
that He wants to be the Lord of their lives.
It is a place where teachers educate the
“whole child” – spiritually, academically,
physically, socially and emotionally.
The Academy received full accreditation
status with Christian Schools International
and the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools in the Fall of 2005. The site team
summed up their visit with the following,
“The Academy not only meets quality
standards but exceeds them.”
Small class size at The Academy provides an
excellent forum for each student to
recognize and develop his or her own
God-given gifts, talents and skills. All
lead teachers have teaching certification
and extensive experience with young
children. They are committed to the
development of well-rounded Christians.
The Academy has a full program from
Transitional K, Kindergarten-Seventh Grade.
Enrollment is held each January for the
upcoming school year. Open houses for the
month of January are on the 9th and 16th
beginning at 1:00pm. Spaces are limited, so
you are encouraged to learn more about The
Academy as soon as possible. Their website
is also a wonderful resource for admissions
policies, enrollment procedures, etc. The
website address is www.alpharettamca.com.
Come and see what God is up to at The
Academy!

Arbor Montessori School
Founded in 1970, Arbor is one of the largest
AMI-accredited schools in the southeastern
United States, serving approximately 300
students from ages 2.5-14. Arbor’s Central
Campus is located near Emory University.
Arbor requires Association Montessori
Internationale (AMI) certification of all
its teachers.
As educators examine the difficulties in
America’s schools, they are suggesting
changes that sound familiar to Montessori
parents: individualized instruction,
multi-age classes and multi-sensory learning
materials have been the foundation of
Arbor’s curriculum for over 30 years.
Montessori schools are recognized and
respected all over the world for creating a
learning environment that fosters
initiative, self-esteem, and the joy of
learning. Arbor also offers an after school
Enrichment program where students enjoy
outdoor activities, games, cooking, and
crafts.
A Montessori school is
unique. Prospective parents attend an
adults-only information session prior to

they learn about Arbor’s Montessori

At the Atlanta Academy, education is not
only about the future, but also about the
present. Students discover something about
themselves everyday.
The community of involved parents, motivated
children and highly qualified and
compassionate educators creates an
environment that encourages each child to
give one hundred percent both in and out of
the classroom. Small class sizes (maximum 16
students) allow faculty to know every
student and his/her individual talents,
strengths, and personalities. The Atlanta
Academy students benefit from individual
attention by gaining a sense of confidence
in their abilities, respect for themselves
and others, responsibility and
self-discipline.
Opening the doors of its new, permanent
facility in Roswell in September 2007, The
Atlanta Academy added a pre-school and
early-fives program to its highly regarded
Kindergarten to Eighth Grade education. The
facility and its nine-acre site were
generously donated by property owner, Malon
D. Mimms, securing the school’s future to
serve families throughout the growing
northern Atlanta region. The new facility
includes a full science laboratory and a
media center, as well as space for potential
expansion and playing fields.
The Atlanta Academy provides a highly
challenging curriculum with a strong
emphasis on character and leadership
development. The classroom, teachers,
activities and environment bring out the
best in students, by encouraging them to
explore new interests, excel academically,
develop undiscovered talents and make
life-long friendships. The school embraces a
range of diverse student skills and
backgrounds. High expectations for
achievement, creativity, personal character
and social responsibility are the
cornerstone of The Atlanta Academy.
Activities are designed to integrate
learning with classroom lessons. The
curriculum of every grade includes Language
Arts, Grammar, Math, Social Studies,
Science, Spanish language, Technology, Art,
Music, Physical Education. Community
outreach begins in Kindergarten and
continues with increased commitment in the
Middle School. Frequent educational and
service-oriented field trips to
performances, exhibits, as well as senior
centers and the Atlanta Community Food Bank
help broaden students’ perspective on their
world and what they learn in school.
For
example, Middle School students have built a
nature trail on the school grounds,
enhancing their science and environmental
studies with organizational skills and
teamwork. When Primary School students
assembled boxes of small gifts for children
served by the Sandy Springs Community Action
Center, they wrote holiday cards in Spanish.
Middle School class trips have brought
history, social studies, literature and
science to life in destinations such as
Washington D.C, Philadelphia and the Florida
Keys.
Reading, writing and critical thinking
skills are developed in every aspect of the
Primary and Middle School programs. An
accelerated curriculum is available in the
upper Primary grades and Middle School. The
Middle School, taught by a team of seasoned
professionals, prepares students for the
most rigorous high school programs. Year
after year, our graduating students gain
admission and excel in top independent
college-preparatory schools in Atlanta.
As a small school, spirit abounds in
extra-curricular activities. It is not
uncommon to find an older student
participating in four or five Atlanta
Academy activities, while maintaining a spot
on the honor roll year-round. Students of
all ages may participate in dance, chess,
intramural sports, fine arts, robotics,
drama and chorus. Children in grades 5-8
participate in our award-winning Middle
School Debate Team, soccer and basketball
(boys and girls), volleyball, baseball,
band, stock market club and others.
There simply is no better place for children
to discover and develop themselves in an
academic environment. Come visit The Atlanta
Academy and see how your child deserves to
be educated.
The Atlanta Academy is accredited by both
the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools and the Georgia Accrediting
Commission, and is a member of the Georgia
Independent Schools Association. For more
information or to arrange a school tour,

Established in 2004, Atlanta Classical
Christian Academy (ACCA) in Smyrna is a
independent non-profit ministry dedicated to
helping parents nurture their children in
the Christian faith and to firmly establish
them in a relationship of faith in God as
Creator and Savior. To that end we provide
students with educational opportunities in
the classical tradition, which integrates
the knowledge of God into personal practice
and encourages productive, disciplined
lives.
ACCA believes that the essential tools for
learning need to be given to children early
in their development so that a life-long
love for learning will be the result.
Knowledge worth gaining is also worth the
time and patience it requires to obtain it.
So at ACCA children are taught the benefits
of hard work but are also challenged to
apply what they learn through opportunities
designed to strengthen mind and heart.
ACCA teachers are personally committed to a
Christian philosophy of life, reflected in
their ability to apply sound biblical
principles in their respective teaching
areas and in their commitment to the
practice of personal piety.
They have been working together for 2 to 8
years as a team, trained in the classical
Christian methodology and have over 50 years
of combined teaching experience. They are
all learners themselves who inspire their
students with their own love of learning.
Currently ACCA is enrolling Pre K through
6th with plans to add a grade per year. The
teaching style at ACCA is defined by the
Trivium or three stages of teaching, the
“grammar” stage, the “dialectic or logic”
stage and the “rhetoric” stage which roughly
correspond to the elementary grades, the
middle school grades and high school.
Children’s learning styles, skills and
interests change over their 12 year school
experience and by using these natural
tendencies and strengths, students will
maximize their learning experience. Before
and after care is provided for families with
those needs.
ACCA makes no distinction concerning any
individual’s race or ethnic background,
because we believe that all persons are
created in God’s image, as He makes no such
distinctions in His redemptive plan for all
mankind.

development is stressed along with social
and emotional growth. The atmosphere is a
caring, nurturing one that fosters a deep
sense of community.

Community Christian School
Children are born as pure potential. At
Community Christian School, the priority is
to provide children with the education
necessary to tap the wellspring of their
promise. The faculty of Community Christian
School understands that the proper
foundation of education is belief in the
basics – a faith in God, in others, and in
oneself. And the staff is uniquely qualified
to build upon these basics in a partnership
with you, the parent.
Community is more than an excellent academic
institution, a secure facility, and a fun
place to learn. Above all, Community is an
inspirational education. The qualified
teachers are devoted to investing their
lives into each student through prayer,
support, and encouragement. They inspire
students into a life of intellectual and
spiritual fulfillment through dedication,
discipline and determination.
Community Christian School offers programs
in nursery, preschool, kindergarten,
elementary, middle and high school. In
addition, after-school enrichment programs
and summer camps are available. Students are
offered classes in Spanish, Tae Kwon Do, and
other fun and educational activities as part
of these programs. CCS is excited to
announce that we have achieved dual
accreditation with ACSI and SACS. We are
privileged to have both of these
professional organizations partnering with
our school, ensuring that our academic
standards remain the best they can be.
Like many schools, Community’s coursework
meets important educational standards.
Unlike many schools, Community’s commitment
is to the whole student, to his or her
self-confidence, and to the values that make
living a life worthwhile. Community
Christian School achieves these goals with
enhanced curriculum, extra-curricular clubs
and activities, and inspired Christian
values. Young people study math, science,
and literature. They also study the Bible.
Students learn vocabulary, but they also
learn how to use words in written and spoken
communication. Community builds students

Eaton Academy in Roswell knows that the “one
size fits all” approach does not work for
students today. That’s why Eaton offers
three different types of SACS accredited
programs supported by a staff of Schools
Attuned trained professionals.
Option 1: students may enroll in the
full-day K-12 school. The 5:1 student to
teacher ratio allows instructors to address
students’ personal learning styles. Through
the use of technology, multisensory
instruction, and a wide variety of
curricular resources, students achieve
significant academic and personal success.
The curriculum is academically challenging
and college preparatory.
Option 2: Eaton can design an Independent
Study Program (ISP) for credit tailored to
the individual student’s schedule and
academic needs. Students work at their own
pace in a one-to-one setting with an
instructor to complete graduation
requirements.
Option 3: students may enroll in the Mentor
Program to combine the personalized
attention of the ISP with the benefits of a
group approach.
Eaton Academy is situated on a quiet, wooded
campus near numerous facilities that enable
students to participate in extra-curricular
activities and sports. Such offerings help
Eaton care for the whole student. Whatever
students may need, Eaton works to create the
correct education solution for them. At
Eaton Academy, the goal is to provide one
place to which families may go for clear
answers.
