
Athens Y Camp
Established in 1898 and 1933, the Athens
Y Camp for Boys and Camp Chattooga for girls
have over 150 years of camping experience
and tradition. The camps offer separate
independent facilities for boys and girls
camp for ages 7 to 16. Located in Tallulah
Falls in the NE Georgia mountains, we offer
one and two week sessions. The camps were
founded on the principle of developing moral
character through Christian faith and
continue toward that goal today. The
traditional program features swimming,
archery, tennis, canoeing, riflery and trips
to Tallulah Gorge, Lake Rabun and Helen, GA.
Older campers may choose traditional camp
or the adventure program. Adventure program
activities include rappelling on the ropes
course, whitewater rafting and caving. The
SLT and LIT programs provide leadership and
teamwork skills to 14-16 year olds desiring
to become camp counselors or improve

Emagination Computer Camps
Emagination offers two exciting summer
technology programs for youth at Mercer
University in northeast Atlanta. Emagination
Computer Camps is a two-week, overnight or
day, summer camp for 8-17 year olds who love
computers. Campers select three tech
workshops from a choice of over twenty and
everyone takes recreation. Emagination’s
program balances cutting edge technology
workshops with the activities and benefits
of traditional summer camps. Campers create
digital art, design video games, build
robots and explore programming. They also go
swimming and play kickball, soccer and many
other fun camp activities.
Emagination Game Design is a 14 day/13
night summer course for 16-18 year olds who
are serious about learning the video game
development process. Teens learn game design
skills and join a development team to build
a game which they present to industry
experts. This overnight program is both
intensive and fun with an emphasis on
teamwork. Students tour a local game company
and evenings are for LAN gaming and game
industry topics delivered by executives and

Riverview Camp
Atop breathtaking Lookout Mountain,
you’ll find a paradise of fun, friends and
adventure for girls ages 6 to 16. With over
15 activity choices and other recreational
opportunities, campers and parents alike
will be pleased with the choices and quality
of programs offered.
Riverview’s riding stable is one of the
finest and the riding program is an
exceptional one! Other activities include:
swimming, heated pool, ropes course, tennis,
canoeing, golf, archery, rifle range,
sports, basketball and more.Riverview offers
both one and two week sessions. Riverview’s
cabins include bathrooms and showers in each

girls feel comfortable and welcome from the

Directors Susan and Larry Hooks have 40
years of combined camping experience and
have been camp directors since 1983.
Assistant Director Donna Bares has been in
camping with the Hooks since 1987. The
full-summer staff is certified in Red Cross
First Aid and CPR, two nurses on staff.

Strong Rock Camp and Retreat

YMCA Camp Thunderbird
YMCA Camp Thunderbird ... a place where
campers have fun and parents find an
environment that helps their children grow
in spirit, mind, and body. Our activities

Atop cool, breezy Lookout Mountain in
Northwest Georgia is an ACA accredited camp
