Your baby is on the way!

Time to shake, rattle and roll. There are so many things to do before the anticipated due date. One of your first decisions to make is where to deliver your new bundle of joy.

It’s important to consider which hospital would best suit your personal needs. Expectant parents should compile a list of questions to ask the staff to get a better sense of what each facility has to offer. Atlanta Baby has complied a chart of 20 metro-area hospitals with information including birthing rooms and birth rates. You’re urged to take advantage of tours offered to determine which facility best suits your needs and if the staff is experienced and knowledgeable.

Be sure to find out if your insurance is accepted, learn the policies for visitation and guests in the delivery room and find out which hospitals are closest to your home. Having answers to all these questions and being prepared will lead to a pleasant experience for you and your baby.

All hospitals listed below offer privileges to midwives. Birthing rooms are notated as LDR (Labor, Delivery, Recovery) and LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum). The information on this chart has been provided by each hospital.
