For hands-on fun for all ages, take your child to Tellus Science Museum located in Cartersville. This 120,000-square-foot museum features four main areas: the Fossil Gallery, Science in Motion Gallery, the Weinman Mineral Gallery, and the Collins Family My Big Backyard. RockFest
June 14-15
10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The museum’s big event in June brings vendors from around the country showcasing earthly treasures. Bring rocks your child has found in the backyard to identify, create a rock pet and play rock bingo. Many types of gems, fossils and minerals will be on display for you and your child to admire and even purchase. The first 200 guests each day will receive a free specimen.
