Who knew a boring white T-shirt could provide hours of fun? One way is to break out the tie dye. Inexpensive kits are available at Micheals and other craft stores. Or you can make your own using unsweetened Kool-Aid. You'll also need to combine each pack of Kool-Aid (seperated into plastic bowls by color) with one ounce of vinegar. Using rubber bands, pull and twist the T-shirt into different shapes. Dip rubber baneded ends in bowls (make sure you wear gloves or your hands will stain). Let set for 24 hours before washing. Wash seperately the first time. You don't have to stick to T-shirts. Beach towels, socks, and bandanas are fun projects.

Add a little chill to a hot summer day with a frozen T-shirt game. Fold and freeze some T-shirts – the first person to get it on wins. The good news is this game requires very little prep and keeps kids occupied for a long time.
