Great Smoky Mountains Railroad

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad will operate Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train from the PBS series. Families and children are sure to enjoy this adventure-filled train ride with music, stories and an adventure area.  A one-hour, 45 minute layover includes a meet-and-greet with costumed Buddy the T-Rex, dino putt-putt golf, bouncy slide and games. BAPS Mandir

The BAPS Mandir, a Hindu place of worship and community gathering place, was assembled like a giant 3-D puzzle from more than 34,000 individual pieces hand-carved from three types of stone. Summer World Music Festival Young People's Concerts

Presented as part of the Spivey Hall education Young Peoples Concerts the Summer World Music Festival is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts.

This family-friendly series shines a spotlight on Spain and Russia on Wednesday July 15 at 11:15 a.m. and features the dynamic duo 9 String Theory sharing musical traditions both ancient and modern and playing exciting repertoire that includes Argentine tangos, Spanish flamenco dances, Russian gypsy dances and folksongs, European classical compositions, and American song. Bring a picnic and enjoy Clayton State University’s scenic swan lake before or after the concert!
