Every Thursday, Atlanta Motor Speedway is doing their Thursday Thunder grassroots summer racing series. Race replicas of classic cars from the 30s designed specifically for NASCAR racing. Kids of all ages can race the ¼ mile “Thunder Ring” located on the front stretch of Atlanta Motor Speedway. Games, contests, and giveaways will be happening all night. Must be at least 8 to drive and fill out a waiver prior to coming.  Gates open at 6 p.m., practice starts at 6:15 p.m., and the feature races begin at 7:45 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for adults, ages 5 and under are free. Every Thursday until July 21, starting at 6 p.m.

Roswell Summer Puppet Series

Come out to the Roswell Cultural Arts Center for their annual Summer Puppet Series. Watch exciting shows like Travelin’ Tales on July 5-9, Migration on July 11-16, and Jack and the Beanstalk on July 18-23. These shows have original artwork portrayed by marionettes, rod puppets, and hand puppets, and teach valuable lessons like anti-bullying.
Shows are $5 per person, kids under two are free. Mon.-Sat. at 10 a.m. with extra showings on Wed. and Fri. at 1 p.m.

Babies in Space at the Alliance

The Theater for the Very Young at the Alliance Theatre is having an interactive outer-space themed playscape and performance for kids 0-24 months old. Babies and toddlers will have the chance to crawl and explore how our planet has its own small place in space. Playscape is free, tickets are required for performance.
$10 adults, ages 0-5 are free, ages 6-17 $5. Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sat. 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m.; Sun. 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
