Historic Fourth Ward Park Playground


This playground has a spider-like ropes course connected to a small trampoline and swings shaped like large bowls. Multiple slides, rock walls and other climbing equipment complete the playground. (Note: the park is bordered by North Ave., Glen Iris and Ralph McGill). 680 Dallas St., Atlanta

Wills Park Playground


In this magical park, kids stay busy exploring tunnels, towers and bridges. Don’t miss the “Yellow” playground for small children and the fully covered “Purple” playground. 11925 Wills Rd., Alpharett

Children’s Adventure Garden, Brook Run Park


This expansive playground provides loads to do: slides and swings of varying sizes, monkey bars galore, and a multicolored tunnel. The four clusters of colorful play structures provide areas for all ages. Parents also appreciate the protective rubberized matting that cushions falls. 4770 N. Peachtree Rd., Dunwoody

Piedmont Park

Atlanta’s largest park in Midtown has two large playgrounds: the Noguchi Playspace or the all-abilities Mayor’s Grove playground. This area has ramp access, accessible swings and rubber surfacing. Piedmont Ave. and 10th St.

Roswell Area Park Playgrounds


This Roswell park has three separate playgrounds with winding slides, rock walls and swings. There is a separate toddler-sized play area for preschoolers. This park also has plenty of benches, shady areas and bathrooms. 10495 Woodstock Rd., Roswell

All Children’s Playground, Centennial Olympic Park


This playground is built for all ages and abilities, boasts a skid-resistant rubber surface and a host of creative equipment. This downtown Atlanta playground was created for the 1996 Olympic Games. 265 Park Ave. West, Atlanta
