Family Block Party

Atlanta Parent Magazine is pleased to present Atlanta’s premiere family festival, the 10th Anniversary of Family Block Party on Saturday, October 12th, 2013 from 10am- 4pm at the beautiful Mercer University Atlanta Campus.

The festival features more than 50 exciting family-friendly activities, live entertainment including performers, storytelling, and local groups, food, interactive exhibits and more!

The 2013 festivals $5 admission helps to benefit local non-profit organizations- Athletes on the Rise, Inc., Atlanta Diaper Relief and Camp Sunshine.  The festival attracts an estimated 5,000 guests throughout the event.

Family Block Party promotes fun with your family and focuses on community involvement. It is supported by over 250 local volunteers, individuals and groups. A variety of outrageously fun family activities create plenty of smiles and laughter! Craft booths, huge toddler play area, mobile petting farm, interactive sports games, inflatable play ground, pony rides, live music and continuous storytelling are just some fun activities Family Block Party has to offer festival goers. No matter if the kids are big or small; the entire family will love this special fall day of fun.


We are excited to announce to that Family Block Party was awarded bronze for Best Festival from the Southeast Festivals and Events Association for our 2011 event. Join us for the 10th Annual Family Block Party as we celebrate families!

Benefits local non-profit organizations!

 Each year a portion of the Family Block Party proceeds are given to these organizations, which also have the opportunity to relay their message to the community at Family Block Party. Each beneficiary will have a booth at the festival where they will host an interactive activity and share information on their organization.  Our 2012 beneficiaries included Athletes on the Rise, Atlanta Diaper Relief and Camp Sunshine.

For our non-profit organizations, the partnership will include advertising and an editorial focus in Atlanta Parent Magazine in our Community Corner and Festival Guide. Additional exposure logo treatment in the East Cobber, WSB Family 2 Family, Radio Disney, 20,000 Flyers and additional media to be announced. Beneficiaries will also raise awareness to more than 5,000 Atlanta families at the event and more than 200,000 Atlanta Parent readers.
