Mom-Approved Doctors

Parents are choosy when it comes to medical care for their children. Atlanta Parent asked our readers – moms and dads just like you – to nominate pediatricians that they would recommend. We wanted to know why your child’s doctor is special and you told us.

Pediatricians

Akinsanya-Beysolow, Iyabode MD
Atlanta Pediatric Partners, Atlanta
“We love Dr. Beysolow because she has been the family pediatrician for ten years. She is kid friendly and wants to know what is happening in the lives of her patients. She is very knowledgeable and down to earth. Dr. Beysolow is the best!”
Alli, Renee MD
Georgetown Pediatrics, Dunwoody
“Dr. Alli has been an absolute blessing to our family.  She connected with my daughter immediately and made us feel like she truly cares.  After five years with her there is no question that she genuinely cares, will provide the best service and will make herself available to the best of her abilities.  We love Dr. Renee Alli.”
Ani, MaryGrace MD
Pediatric Associates, Marietta
“Dr. Ani is the kindest and most thorough doctor I have ever met. You can tell when you see her that she is honestly glad to see your child and is concerned about their healthcare needs. As a mother herself, she thoroughly thinks through the care plan for your child and truly makes sure every procedure is necessary and in the child’s best interest. She calls to check on your sick child after hours and follows up the next day as well. I would recommend her to anyone I know, and I often do.”
Barnwell, Odell MD
South Atlanta Pediatrics, Riverdale and Locust Grove
“Dr. Odell Barnwell III is absolutely amazing! We receive the personal care and attention we need at every visit. Dr. Barnwell provides medical care of the highest caliber, while maintaining an authentically wonderful “down to earth” personality. He is always willing to answer any questions we have and has even called our home after an appointment to provide additional medical information or to simply check up on a sick child. My children actually get excited when I tell them that they are going to the doctor’s office.  My children think Dr. Barnwell is the coolest doctor on the planet!”
Bataille, Fredly MD
Intown Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Dr. Bataille is awesome. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to fully explain his diagnosis in a way that you I understand. He is also very gentle and friendly with my children. They love him and more importantly they trust him. Dr. Bataille, is always well informed on the most recent findings in the medical community and helps me make informed decisions regarding my children’s healthcare. “
Beckford, Avril MD
Wellstar Medical Group Pediatric & Adol. Center, Smyrna
“She has provided exceptional care to my two daughters for 21 years and now for my grandson for the last 4 years. She takes time to listen, she’s great with the little ones and really cares about both her patients and their parents. We absolutely love her and could not imagine trying to replace her!”
Belhareth, Samira MD
Zaman Pediatric, Snellville
“She is so awesome with my daughter.  She has known my daughter since she was a newborn. She is honest on her health and does thorough wellness exams and gives good medical advice.”
Beno, Luke MD
Kaiser Permanente Cascade Medical Center, Atlanta
“He has a passion for his job and working with kids. There’s never a wrong question and his approach to healing is holistic and western.”
Bergman, David MD
The Pediatric Place, Alpharetta
“I originally chose Dr. Bergman because I felt he respected a parent’s role in the healthcare process. He is generous with his time, answering questions and giving us his undivided attention while with us. He never gives the impression of being rushed or bothered by any of my “new mom” questions. After hours they provided a direct line to the on call doctor`s cell. Dr. Bergman has called personally to follow up after seeing my daughter when she was ill. He also chose a wonderful nurse, Toni, who is wonderful and really great with babies. It is overall a pleasant experience and I am confident they truly care for our child.”
Bhatia, Taz MD
Atlanta Center for Holistic and Integrative Medicine, Atlanta
“Dr. Tasneem Bhatia has been an incredible physician for our two young boys since they were each only 5 days old. Dr. Taz doesn’t just go through the motions or prescribe the same thing for each patient. She looks at both of our boys as individuals and always seeks to find the root cause of what’s going on. Her care has kept our boys off of heavy medication and helped them to thrive. Her staff is kid-friendly and her nurse practitioners are knowledgeable too. If you are looking for a doctor who is innovative and has lots of experience, she’s the right fit.”
Blair, Fiona MD
ABC Pediatrics, Stone Mountain
“This practice is FANTASTIC!  The doctors, PAs and nurses are knowledgeable and professional.  The staff is prompt, courteous and provide excellent customer service.  They truly seemed to care about my son.  Most importantly, they never make me feel that I am overreacting; which is highly likely due to my “first-time mom” syndrome!"
Bleekrode, Laura MD
Alpharetta Pediatrics, Roswell and Cumming
“Dr. Bleekrode makes everyone feel special - She can diagnosis anything and always has a plan to heal and make your child smile again.  She is thoughtful, capable, incredibly smart, and LISTENS with her heart and ears.  Her staff is friendly and personable.  Give her a try! You won’t be disappointed.  She also has 8 kids herself which makes her an expert!”
Boudreaux, Margaret MD
Primary Care Pediatrics, Cumming
“Dr. Boudreaux is so patient and kind. She is very incredibly smart and informative of many illnesses. I feel blessed to have her as my child’s pediatrician."
Bramwell, Anna MD
Piedmont Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Dr. Bramwell is fantastic.  In our appointments she makes you feel like you are her only patient that day.  She is willing to listen and provide advice, and remembers discussions/concerns from previous appointments and asks follow up questions.  Her appointments are always running on time, or very near.  The practice has Saturday hours and nurse line that have been great, because kids never get sick during regular office hours wink
Brown, Jina MD
Pediatric Physicians, PC, Roswell
“Very friendly and welcoming face. She helped us with our baby who was still in machines for bookings with specialist tests."
Bufe, Ashley MD
DeKalb Pediatrics, Decatur

Burnham, Robert MD
Roswell Pediatric Center, Crabapple and Cumming
“Dr. Burnham is exceptional!  He is wonderful with children of all ages and is equally kind and professional with parents. As a father of six, there are very few issues that Dr. Burnham is not familiar with not only as a doctor but as a parent.  My children have always loved their visits with Dr. Burnham and have thus grown into teenagers who are comfortable and confident discussing their health needs with him.  We love him!!”
Cabrera, Greg MD
North Point Pediatrics, Alpharetta
“Dr. Cabrera has been with my son Mekhi since birth. He is very loving to his patience and he makes the parents comfortable. He listens and doesn’t through terminology a non-doctor would understand. He is just the best!”
Cantrell Jr., F. Clark MD
Summit Pediatrics, Marietta
“Cares for your children as if they were part of his family!”
Carter, Stephen MD
West Atlanta Pediatrics, Lithia Springs and Dallas
“Dr. Carter has loads of experience and lots of knowledge.  He always seems to be able to figure out what is wrong when others can’t.  We have been going to him for many years and love him. His staff (especially nurse Brenda) is the greatest too!”
Chastain, Sue W. MD
Georgetown Pediatrics, Johns Creek
“She has integrity.  She speaks to the CHILD and lets the child answer her questions.  She is thorough and genuinely cares and it shows.  She always follows up which not many doctors do.  Sue Chastain is a professional with a true desire to help and heal.  She is by far the best doctor I have come across in any field of medicine."
“She has saved my sons life. He was misdiagnosed as an infant and she was able to figure it out. She is an honest person and truly cares about her patients, even after hours. I would recommend her to anyone. I can’t thank her enough for all she has done.”

Cheeks, Brittany MD
Piedmont Physicians Pediatrics, Newnan
“Dr. Cheeks is very knowledgeable. She always spends time asking questions and explaining things. Dr. Cheeks treats the children with respect.  And, she always calls to follow up with the parents. The patient portal is also very user friendly."
Colton, Kevin MD
Children’s Medical Group, Atlanta
“Dr. Colton and his practice Children’s Medical Center are outstanding. He is always there to answer any questions we have even if they are stupid one. Smile! We have been with Dr.Colton since my first son was born. Dr.Colton makes both of my son’s so comfortable and they love talking to him.”
Cooper, Jeff MD
Cooper Pediatrics, Duluth
“Dr. Cooper has always been kind and considerate, but what make him stand out is his ability to truly understand the kids. Their fears, worries, and cries. Dr. Cooper takes the time to make sure the parent understands what is going on, by answering any number of questions. He is funny, caring, and truly special. I have been taking my 3 kids to Dr. Coroner’s office for 10 years. Even when I moved over 30 minutes away, I still make the drive once a month (due to my son’s needs) because he is so worth it. The level of care from him as well as all the other doctors and staff is remarkable."
Cotton, Byron MD
Kids & Teens Primary Healthcare, Decatur
“I met Dr. Cotton 24 years ago, he was friendly, encouraging, caring and patient. Four years ago I had my fourth child, he is still my Pediatrician of choice.”
Cox, James MD
Children’s Medical Group, Johns Creek
“He takes the time to discuss any concerns. If there is an issue he walks you through your child’s care with patience and a caring manner.”
Davison, LaKesha MD
Decatur Pediatrics Group, multiple locations
“She is a great doctor because she cares about every single patient she sees. She’s gentle not rough respectful and listens to parents wants and needs."
Desoutter, Lori MD
Pediatric Associates of North Atlanta, Peachtree Corners
“Lori and all the other pediatricians and nurses are wonderful! They always remember little details about your child from birth until now (almost 6). They are very detailed when doing a checkup and never rush you when you have additional questions. The wait time to be seen is nonexistent! I’ve never had an issue making a last minute sick visit or rescheduling. The office is clean and the staff is great! Although I love all of the pediatricians, I especially want to thank Dr. Desoutter for being such an amazing DR! "
Doyle, Jessica MD
Oakhurst Pediatrics, Decatur
“Both Jessica and her partner Emily Kanaan are excellent. They are both moms with young children who wanted to have a smaller practice, so they started one in the kid-centric neighborhood of Oakhurst in Decatur. Each of them has a nurse and there are also a few administrative people. But that is it. They have kept the size manageable and whether it is a sick visit or a well visit, we have never waited or felt rushed. Dr. Jessica is our specific doctor, but Emily is wonderful too. They answer their own calls no matter the time of day and night and really spend time not only getting to know not just the children, but also the families. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are just like old-timey country doctors, but with better technology and you don’t pay them in eggs. We LOVE them. (Elizabeth Durel, mom to Elliot-6, Daisy, 4.5 and a new babe any day now)”
Drake-Forte, Gabraella MD
TenderCare Pediatrics, Alpharetta
“Her hours aren’t the most convenient (no weekends and half day Wednesday’s) but I love that she cares about the children. She is in tuned with today’s medicine practices and listened to the parents’ concerns. But she’s still old school in her beliefs which makes a great combination."
Drayton, Dekisha MD
Princeton Lakes Pediatric, Atlanta and Kennesaw
“Dr. Drayton treats your children as if they were her own. She is very approachable. My children love her. They talk with her as if she was their favorite aunt. She is thorough and consistent. She’s the best pediatrician my children have ever had. I even bring my grandson to her because of her diligence and professionalism as a Dr. Thank you Dr Drayton for caring for my children. You’re the best.”
“I had to change doctors for my son because he was terrified of the one he had. When I took him to Dr. Drayton all the crying and screaming went away. He never had a problem going to the doctor after that and he gets sick often enough. Dr. Drayton is my savior when it comes to my son’s health.”
“My childhood pediatrician was my children’s pediatrician until he retired! Just to share how picky I am about my children’s medical care.  Finding Dr. Drayton has been such a blessing for our family. From my 17 year old to my 2 year old, she has been the best source of information, guidance and medical care. Her staff is friendly and she is extremely knowledgeable and gentle. Her location is great as well, but I would have driven across town if I needed to just to keep her as our family pediatrician.”

Ecklund, David MD
Kaiser Permanente Cumberland Medical Center, Atlanta
“Dr. Ecklund loves kids, and he is great with moms (even the frantic ones like myself). He is not quick to prescribe medications. At times, he is partial to “prescribing” homeopathic type things like honey for coughs and probiotics for stomach bugs.  He responds back very quickly despite the numerous kids he sees, and really allows you to ask any question without feeling silly.”
Ellis, Annisha MD
Wellstar Medical Group Pediatric & Adol. Center, Smyrna
“Dr. Ellis is a wonderful pediatrician! She practices in two locations which are both close to our home.  I will get calls directly from Dr. Ellis regarding follow up instead of from one of the nurses which definitely makes me respect her even more.  She’s great with our two year old daughter and we can’t wait to take our son to see her once he’s born!”
Fleming, Shea MD
Peachtree Park Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Dr. Shea Fleming is an outstanding pediatrician! With a warm smile, she greets her patients and makes the children feel comfortable and safe. She provides excellent medical care. Peachtree Pediatrics, now conveniently located in Buckhead on Howell Mill Road, has been a favorite practice for families for many, many years. My husband and I both were patients of the practice beginning in the 1960’s!"
Gfroerer, Terry MD
Dunwoody Pediatrics, Dunwoody
“Dr. Gfroerer has a wonderful, friendly manner with children of all ages He has consistently followed up to make sure the kids are improving. In addition, he helped our family navigate some hard to diagnose rare conditions. He is more of a friend than a pediatrician.”
Gotlieb, Edward MD
The Pediatric Center, Stone Mountain
“He always welcomes his patients with a smile. My son has ADHD and Dr. Gotlieb makes sure he receives the best care.”
Harrell, Susan MD
North Atlanta Pediatric Associates, Atlanta
“For a teen/young adult to actually like her pediatrician is a plus in my book. Dr. Harrell is such a professional and gives 100% of her time to focus on my daughter’s needs & concerns. She is extremely knowledgeable, an excellent listener and we are so happy to have her as our physician.”
Harris, Laura MD

“Dr. Harris is a wonderful Dr! Excellent with the kids and parents. She takes time and shares a wealth of information that is super useful.”

“Dr. Hempel makes every effort to show concern for his patients.  He is personable and really knows what young kids (as well as teens) are all about.”
Herron, Merinda MD
Herron Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Dr. Herron is genuine, personable, and has a wealth of experience (over 30 years) in the field of Pediatrics.  She has a beautiful and accessible practice in the heart of midtown Atlanta.  I love taking my children to her and highly recommend her to all Atlanta parents!”
Hinchcliffe, Annette MD
Georgetown Pediatrics, Johns Creek
“Dr. Hinchcliffe has been my children’s pediatrician for over 16 years.  Both of my children have had various and, at times, serious, medical issues over the years.  Dr. Hinchcliffe has been there with us every step of the way.  She is thoroughly invested in the well-being of my children, takes the time to speak with me regarding any concerns and, amazingly, remembers even the smallest of details of my children’s health history.  Additionally, she has a great rapport with my children and both feel comfortable talking to her.  I could not ask for a better pediatrician for my children.”
“She’s the Asthma queen. Very professional, caring and extremely knowledgeable. I trust her completely to give the best care and advice regarding my children’s health. She has cared for both children from birth and 1 child to adulthood. We will miss her once the last child is of age. Our trusted Pediatrician for 23 years."
“Dr. Hinchcliffe has been our pediatrician for over 11 years and we have remained a loyal patient primarily because of the care we have received.  We have always felt that Dr. Hinchcliffe has our best interest in mind and has been a true advocate when we needed care and medication for ADHD.  My son loves her and she makes it easy for him to speak with her and ask questions about his health."

Holzwarth, Monica MD
Pediatric Adol. Healthcare, Marietta
“Dr. H is hands-down the best pediatrician in East Cobb. Her entire practice know all their patients are truly treat you like family.  She is so knowledgeable beyond the standard kid illness. For instance, my 3 year old was having stomach issues and she pinpointed it to sorbitol in gum.  The practice will always squeeze you, she is available on the weekends (and will give you her cell phone), plus she is just a fun-loving, wonderful person.  We have been part of the large practices of Atlanta and hated it as we were just a number. However, at this practice they know our entire family and genuinely care. Everyone from the hysterical, always upbeat receptionist (Nora) to back office (Stephanie) and nurses are genuine and compassionate.  We are so lucky to have Dr. H in our lives and would recommend her to everyone."
Hopkins, Jeffrey MD
Northside Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Dr. Hopkins has a natural gentleness about him when he is interacting with my children. When my youngest had health issues after birth, he and his NP made sure I was updated with test results and plans of care. Dr. Hopkins even called a specialist to ask questions and follow up about her condition with out immediately sending me to another doctor’s office for the issue. His office has many qualified professionals, weekend sick appointments, and a great waiting room."
Hutson, Mark MD
Children’s Medical Group, Atlanta
“Dr. Hutson is friendly with the children and very thorough with diagnoses.”
Jackson, Joanne MD
Gwinnett Pediatrics and Adol. Medicine,
Dacula and Sugar Hill
“She is a wonderful doctor to speak with. She listens to your concerns and comes up with fantastic action plans if needed. She is always punctual and has a deep passion for what she does. She is such a caring person.”
Jones, David MD
Kaiser Permanente Sandy Springs Medical Office, Sandy Springs
“Choosing a pediatrician can be a challenging task for a new parent. You want a doctor who is highly intelligent yet approachable, a great listener who takes the time to answer all of your questions, and someone who is kind and has the ability to put a child at ease in the exam room.  These traits make David W. Jones, M.D. one of the most respected, beloved and sought after pediatricians within Kaiser Permanente of Georgia.  I selected Dr. Jones as my son’s pediatrician before he was even born. When I became ill and had to undergo an emergency C-section seven weeks before my due date, Dr. Jones came to the hospital to check on my son, who spent four weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit at Northside Hospital. I appreciated his concern for the wellbeing of my child, even before we could schedule our first office visit.   As a new mom, I cannot say enough about Dr. Jones. I never feel rushed during appointments. He is very thorough in his examinations and provides referrals to specialists whenever necessary. He takes the time to explain each immunization my child receives and follows up to make sure he is tolerating the vaccines. He charts my son’s growth, illustrating how he compares to full-term babies. An advocate of safe sleeping habits, he offered support and encouragement as we transitioned our son to sleeping in his crib. But what I appreciate the most is his willingness to answer the many questions first-time moms have in a timely manner.   Dr. Jones practices at the Kaiser Permanente Sandy Springs Medical Office, which is open from 8:30 am to 6 p.m. An added convenience is the on-site pharmacy, which stocks both prescription and over the counter medication for kids.”
Kanaan, Emily MD
Oakhurst Pediatrics, Decatur
“Dr. Kanaan is the best pediatrician we’ve ever seen for our 3 kids. She is patient and understanding. She always takes enough time to talk through any explanations and is very patient when I have a lot of questions. I like that she feels like a partner in decision making rather than just telling me what to do - she listens really well to the parent’s perspective and concerns. She is also fabulous with kids of all ages - she really relates to them and makes them feel comfortable and is so gentle. I’ve had to call her ‘on-call’ several times and she’s always been very calming and reassuring during a crisis. I recommend her and Dr. Doyle to every parent I meet - I have the greatest confidence in her skills and am so thankful to have such great pediatric care."
King, David MD
Children’s Medical Group, Atlanta
“My son was premature, and Dr. King has always made sure that all of the programs available to us we knew about them and had access to them. Now my son is 3 and is in all normal ranges for a child his age. The office hours and location are great, even though I live in Tucker, it is right off of the interstate so I get there quickly. My son loves the train that goes around the ceiling in the waiting area!”
Lavania, Hiral MD
Chattahoochee Pediatrics, Alpharetta
“We travel from Stone Mountain to Alpharetta to see Dr. Lavania, even though my husband no longer works nearby.  She is great with my anxious four year old, who is on the spectrum, and with my squirrelly two year old.  She never seems to judge you for bringing in your child, even if there’s several visits in a row that turn out not to be anything.  When you call to ask a health-related question, the doctor (not a nurse) will talk to you over the phone, even calling you back within an hour if she is with another patient.  If you are concerned about something that would require a specialist, she is willing to give you the referral, no problem.  And if she doesn’t feel knowledgeable in the field, then she isn’t afraid to tell you, and let you know where you could go to find answers.   You can tell she loves working in pediatrics. The office is clean and well-organized, the staff pleasant and well-informed.  There is seldom a long wait (we are usually called back within ten minutes), and if you have an urgent need, there is generally an appointment for the next day, and often one available for the same day.  I love this place!  The office is pleasant and cool."
LeDuc, Elizabeth MD
Center for Pediatric Wellness, Atlanta
“Dr. LeDuc has been our pediatrician for over 8 years. We have two beautiful children and she has helped us through the parenting adventure in a multitude of ways.   Dr. LeDuc has a strong connection throughout the Atlanta community and as a result, every specialist she has recommended to us has been a perfect fit in our lives. From the Dentist that the entire family (of four) uses to my son’s endocrinologist (diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age four, by Dr. LeDuc) that we visit every three months, she has helped us find the uppermost care.   She is genuinely concerned for not only our children, but our entire family. Dr. LeDuc takes a holistic approach with our children’s care. This includes checking in with the adults, as well as the children, and helping the entire family understand how to have a better quality of life.  The office is located next to Northside hospital, which is the place both of our children were born. It is close to the children’s hospital, which allows easy access to exceptional emergency care when Dr. LeDuc feels we need it. We have been rushed to emergency from her office more than once. From our type 1 diabetes life changing situation, to a bad case of pneumonia, or the ease of having to stop into the hospital for x-rays.  At the Center for Pediatric Wellness, the staff is phenomenal. The same assistants and nurses have been working within the practice for years. They know our concerns and needs and always know how to make our children feel important. Thank you Dr. LeDuc for putting your heart and soul into making The Center for Pediatric Wellness a safe place that provides medical support as well as caring environment to express any questions and concerns."
Lin, James MD
Lawrenceville Pediatrics, Lawrenceville
“Very personable, resourceful, calming, knowledgeable. Great front office staff as well.”
“His personal interest in the children.”

Long, Mark MD
Kennesaw Pediatrics, Kennesaw
“Opened Saturday and Sundays for sicknesses that pop up over the weekend, have a separate teen center so they don’t have to share a kiddie office, and they know all the Doc McStuffins songs! They make our 2 year old feel super comfortable by allowing her to use all their tools on her doll before they use them on her. We moved and still drive the extra distance because we love them that much!”
Loventhal, Gary MD
Children’s Wellness Center, Sandy Springs
“We have seen Dr. Loventhal since our son, now almost 5, was born. Our son just loves his doctor and looks forward to visits, whether well or sick. I admit I’m one of those moms who asks a LOT of questions. Dr. Loventhal never makes me feel like my questions are stupid, and takes time to make me feel like he truly cares about my concerns. The office is clean and bright, and the staff is extremely friendly. We’ve had the same nurse the whole time, and even recently saw her outside the office - she was just as loving as ever and remembered our son’s name! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Loventhal and Children’s Wellness. On second thought, maybe I shouldn’t share this secret since I’ve never had an issue getting a same day appointment!”
Lucas, Roberta MD
Lucas Pediatrics, Roswell
“This is a one doctor practice with just one nurse and one receptionist. Intimate personal service is what you receive from this practice. Your appointment may not run on time because Dr. Lucas spends whatever time she needs or feels required with each case. When she was stumped by a challenge regarding our child’s health, Dr. Lucas scheduled a lunch date with her colleagues at CHOA just to get their insights. Because her practice is small, she takes this kind of personal interest in all her families. She has medical students on occasion and does her best to fit everyone in who needs to see her. I am perfectly capable of running to Urgent Care if a strep test is need on the spur of the moment but when I need well considered medical advice, she is my go-to. After 8 years we still recommend her!”
Marcus, Sally MD
Northside Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Dr. Marcus is an exceptional pediatrician. She spends lot of time almost an hour for the well visit. Checks on the, physical, mental n social behavior of the child. She suggests so many ideas on the upbringing.”
“Dr. Marcus is a very kind, caring, and compassionate pediatrician.  She listens to the pediatric patient first and asks for parent input if needed.  She allows the child to speak and explain how they are feeling.  She takes her time with the patients and documents everything very carefully.  She gives very practical advice when dealing with various health issues.   Northside Pediatrics is able to schedule sick day visits within a several hour period and also on weekends.  The nursing/laboratory/scheduling staff are always very helpful.  I would highly recommend Dr. Marcus."

Mekelburg, Kirsten MD
Children’s Wellness Center, Sandy Springs
“Dr. Mekelburg is always there for you with a smiling face.  She never laughs at your ridiculous new mom questions.  Also, if your child is sick, the practice makes sure you see one of the doctors that same day.  The lollipops and stickers at the end don’t hurt either."
Messick, Christian MD
Pediatric Associates of Lawrenceville, Lawrenceville
“Quick, friendly, helpful.”
Miller, Rogena MD
Wellstar Medical Group Smyrna Primary Care Center, Smyrna
“Dr. Miller has excellent patience with the kids. She eases their anxiety and makes each visit enjoyable."
Moore, Willa MD
Children’s Care Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Always able to get a same day sick appointment when needed. She’s patient and genuine and never rushing to get to the next patient. Entire staff is friendly and knows all kids personally. They’re all great. And they even offer Sat hours! When you have an after-hours emergency, they call you within minutes after leaving a message. They’re great.”
Mordi, Emmanuel MD
Delta Pediatrics, Buford
“Dr. Mordi is fantastic!  My kids seriously love going to the doctor.  He makes sure they feel comfortable, mom feels comfortable and that we all understand any questions/answers.  He knows my kids by name, without having to reference a chart and is always patient, fun and warm.  He also works at a local hospital, as well as an after-hours pediatric center.  When we call after hours, it is HIS cell phone that we are directed to, not an answering service.  We are beyond pleased with Dr. Mordi and the staff of Delta Pediatrics!”
Morgan, Vicki MD
Lawrenceville Pediatrics, Loganville
“All of the above. Caring, professional and informative.”
“She spends time with her patients. She is the best!”

Overcash, Jill MD
All About Kids, Lawrenceville
“Not only does Dr. Overcash take the time out to talk to parents, but she also engaged her clients, the children.  Dr. Overcash is always available and you NEVER feel rushed by her. On top of that she also supports your decisions as a parent weather that be to vaccinate or not or to circumcise or not."
Pettaway, Glenda MD
Georgetown Pediatrics, Alpharetta
“Dr. Pettaway is very thorough and takes the needed time to fully diagnose sick children. She also does a very thorough well check/physical on all her patients. Great bedside manors too!”
Pollack, Deborah MD
DeKalb Pediatrics, Decatur
“I can always get my daughter in when she is sick.  The location is easily accessible.  They are definitely kid friendly and I like how they have two waiting rooms:  one for well patients for routine checkups and one for those are sick."
“Very friendly, warm, compassionate practice. They are a great team of 5 doctors who truly care about the kids they treat. I love that you can get a second opinion just by stepping into the hallway!  We’ve gone there for years and she truly knows my son. We love her and the whole team."

Roberts, Lisa MD
Gwinnett Pediatrics and Adol. Medicine, Duluth
“Dr. Roberts is the rare doctor who has the coveted characteristics of being both an extremely skilled doctor and an extremely compassionate person.  Her knowledge is strengthened by her thoroughness and her willingness to explain children’s issues in depth to parents.  She is caring, thoughtful, energetic, prompt, and thorough.  The quality of my children’s lives are improved by her being in it.”
Roe, David MD
Piedmont Pediatrics, Atlanta
“He is the best doctor. He will listen and answer all the questions you may have. He is very patient and he always has the best recommendations. We love him.”
Saxon, Dorie MD
Sulton Pediatric Group, Lithonia
“Every provider in the Sulton Pediatric Group is great! Dr. Saxon takes extra time to explain the procedures, current research that support practices, and is extremely knowledgeable. She has been thorough in working up my children and will call to check on them as needed for follow-up. She has a great bedside manner and my children enjoy seeing her (no tears or fear). The hours of the practice work well and we often are able to get same-day appointments when our kids are ill.'
Sells, Deneta MD
Intown Pediatrics, Atlanta
“There is a designated well and ill reception area. There are kid friendly TV shows, table and books in these area, as well. The staff, usually, address you by family or first name, upon sight, with a smile. The large cut outs of Doc McStuffins characters has helped my daughter relax during vitals!!!! The staff are patient and friendly during any type of procedure/checkup. The exam room are bright with kid friendly books and activities for the wait. At the end of well-baby checks, the child gets an age appropriate book and activity sheet for at home play/encouragement.”
Seth, Jagdish MD
Kennesaw Pediatrics, Kennesaw
“We love K.P. for so many reasons! They have separate waiting areas for newborns, well, and sick children, which helps keep everyone healthy. The waiting rooms are also loads of fun for the kids and the staff is all really nice. I also like that they give parents more options for their children’s health than I feel like most offices do, and are more open minded to alternative or natural medicines and personal lifestyle choices. “
Sherwinter, Julius MD
Dunwoody Pediatrics, Dunwoody
“Dr. Sherwinter is the best! He always makes the visits playful for our 16 mo old while giving us practical advice as first time parents. He never is condescending and in fact is so knowledgeable about medicine in general that we learn so much during every visit. I switched to him after another pediatrician made me doubt my milk supply because my son was low percentile body weight. Dr Sherwinter told me my son was perfect and healthy and to continue breastfeeding. Without that support I wouldn’t have lasted as long as I did as a first time breastfeeding mama. He gave me confidence in my abilities that no other physician did.  Lastly he personally took my cell number and called to check on my son when he had a terrible case of stomach flu! He could sense that my son wasn’t himself so he prescribed some medication that saved us all and the next day called to make sure he was doing better! He is very old school but in lots of ways that is great to see in our current times!”
Shore, Steven MD
Sandy Springs Pediatrics and Adol. Medicine, Atlanta
“We were new to town and neighbor recommended we see Dr. Shore.  It was reassuring to have a recommendation and he lived up to the good words.  He is always kind and takes the time to talk to my kids about what is important to them.  Office staff is great, too!”
Smail, Nicole MD
Pediatric and Adol. Medicine, multiple locations
“I could go on and on about how wonderful Dr. Smail is! She truly cares about her patients and keeps their best interest at the forefront of her medical care and decision making. She has gone above and beyond to help my little boy when he was sick with and ear infection and not responding to oral antibiotics. She takes the time to consider all the information and weigh the options. She listens well and asks questions and shows genuine interest in their well-being.  She is very thorough and never makes us feel rushed. The whole office is wonderful; and although we are unfortunately there often and have become known on a first name basis, each and every time we are treated with the utmost care and compassion. I recommend Dr. Smail and all of the wonderful providers and staff at PAMPA!”
Smith, Robert MD
Northside Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Very knowledgeable and great to work with.”
Smith, Stephen H. MD
Georgetown Pediatrics, Alpharetta
“Great doctors! My kids love Dr Smith because he puts them at easy by making them laugh even when they’re sick. He has also suggested different treatment methods for issues that worked when nothing else had. I always recommend this practice to friends looking.”
“Dr. Smith is so friendly & thorough. He writes all important info down for me, which is favorite part. My daughter has always been seen in a timely manner. It is obvious he really cares about both my daughter & me! He helps me to be a better parent with all his advice & reminders."

Spandorfer, Phillip “Pip” MD
North Atlanta Pediatric Associates, Atlanta
“Dr Pip is the best!  He is amazing with the kids and even better with the parents.  We once had an issue with my son having an allergic reaction to an antibiotic and not only was Dr Pip available on his cell (for both nervous calls and pics), he checked in with me throughout the weekend.  I know that I am not the only one who feels this way or has had this level of personal treatment. He really puts his patients first every time. The entire practice is thoughtful and caring, but Dr Pip is something special!”
Stewart, Danita MD
A Kid’s World Pediatrics, Fayetteville
“Dr. Stewart has been caring for my two children since they were born. I was referred to her by my sister back in 2008. Dr. Stewart treats every child likes Grandmother would treat her grandchild. She keeps up with what’s happening with them at school, with extracurricular activities, and she even called during her off hours to check on my son when he was admitted into the hospital for pneumonia. She’s such a great doctor! I’d never even dream of a better pediatrician.”
Strauss, Peter MD
Kennesaw Pediatrics, Kennesaw
“We love Dr. Strauss!  He is a great listener, and very knowledgeable. Just as importantly, he takes time to remember the little things such as likes and dislikes of my children and their activities. He takes a genuine interest in his patients and we would highly recommend Dr. Strauss and all the doctors at Kennesaw Pediatrics. They even have weekend hours (on Saturday AND Sunday mornings). This is priceless for parents and we would not consider leaving this practice. “
Tanner, Anna MD
Gwinnett Pediatrics and Adol. Medicine, Lawrenceville
“The whole practice is awesome!!! 24hrs call service, so polite! So knowledgeable! So cool!! Always available!!”
“Detailed, happy to see you, relatable, personable with children.”

Traxler, Susan MD
EMedical Associates, Cumming
“The first time we met Dr. Tracker was because our regular pediatrician was out due to an illness. Dr. Traxler was going to be conducting our yearly checkup. My daughter has Downs Syndrome, so it’s never just a regular checkup. Dr. Traxler had researched and printed info on the disability including a growth chart specifically designed with Downs’s kids in mind. Ever since the first visit we have followed her to any practice she is working at. Absolutely the best pediatrician I have ever met.”
Vayman, Lyudmila MD
The World of Pediatrics, Alpharetta
“She is wonderful. Dr. Vayman is an advocate of the patient.  She always makes sure she does what is best for the patient and not necessarily just complying with the insurance companies. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Vayman.”
Verras, Athanasios MD
Verras Pediatrics, Tucker
“Dr Verras is wonderful!  I never have problems getting appointments, even on short notice.  They even have Saturday hours, which is so helpful.  All the doctors at Verras pediatrics really talk to the parents and patients personally, something many practices leave solely to the nurses.  They are very patient and helpful, I never feel rushed there.  The waiting room can often look like the United Nations, with people from so many different backgrounds bringing their children in, and many of them speak little English.  It doesn’t matter at all. Everyone is well cared for and treated with the utmost respect, regardless of any circumstance.  I cannot imagine a more capable, caring, and competent practice to bring my children to and I recommend them to other parents all the time!"
Weil, Richard MD
Piedmont Pediatrics, Atlanta
“Wonderful, experienced, down to earth doctor.”
Weiss, Philip MD
North Atlanta Pediatric Associates, Atlanta
“He is funny, makes my daughter laugh instead of being scared at the doctor’s office, and remembers little tidbits of our lives that I’d never expect him to be able to remember!”
“As the mother of 4 children, I appreciate a doctor who treat my children just like he would his own.  He always takes time to answer all my questions and asks about my other children.  He is interested in not only their medical needs, but school, social, etc.  Best pediatrician ever!”

Wells-Jarrett, Estonna MD
Sandy Springs Pediatrics and Adol. Medicine, Atlanta
“Dr. Wells-Jarrett is an exceptional physician, mother and friend.  She has provided amazing care for our son for 6 years now (since birth).  She has also been fantastic in providing parental advice. My son actually looks forward to going to the Dr.!”
Welsh-Evans, Monique MD

West, Kelly MD

Wiggins, Dorothy MD
Atlanta Pediatric Partners, Atlanta
“They (Dr. Wiggins and Dr. Besiloyow) are caring pediatricians who literally go above and beyond in making sure that their clients and patients are well informed about any ailment they may have. They are open 6 days a week and if you call they will fit you in to be seen--no matter how many patients they have. They have treated all of my children and they are always patient, yet direct in their diagnosis."
Wilkov, Jane MD
DeKalb Pediatrics, Decatur
“Excellent bedside manners!!!! I have never felt rushed and neither have I experienced a long wait. Appointments are very well scheduled and spaced out. She is very thorough in explaining what to expect with the baby, what to look out for and what in normal/abnormal for new babies. She answered all of our questions and encouraged us to always speak up if we had a concern about the baby. This was important to me because I’m a first time mom. Our baby struggled with weight gain the first few weeks. She was patient and understanding of my desire to exclusively breastfeed. She was not pushing formula right away. She instructed me on what to do and scheduled us for as many weight checks as we needed to make sure we were doing well. With her guidance and patience, we exceeded our weight goal by three weeks postpartum. The entire practice (all of the doctors and nurses are EXCEPTIONAL with the patients.  I love that they encourage a healthy brain as well as a healthy body. They have a book borrowing shelf where we can take a book home and return it, or another book to share. Best pediatrician ever!!!”
Williams, Doug MD
Georgetown Pediatrics, Cumming
“Dr. Doug provides excellent and thorough medical care in an atmosphere that is both caring and relaxed. He has been our pediatrician for 17 years and my children and I hold him and his advice in the highest regard. My 14 year old son is my second born out of four kiddos and just said a few days ago that he considers Dr. Doug to be one of his most respected role models; that is quite a statement from an eighth grader! We love Dr. Doug and parenting has been made much easier and more pleasant with his guidance.”
“I have never met a more compassionate, listening ear in a doctor than I have with Dr. Williams.  Our child has several health concerns that have to be addressed regularly by a doctor.  Dr. Williams is extremely knowledgeable about these health issues and is willing to try whatever is necessary to help our son.  He offers great advice and parental support as well as having a wonderful rapport with our son.  We’re so very thankful for Dr. Williams.”
“I couldn’t even begin to say all the wonderful things about Dr. Doug Williams.  I have 2 boys and each with their own health issues.  He is wonderful, patient, takes his time, listens and calls you back when he says he will.  He gets an A+++++ in our book.”
“Dr. Williams is great with kids. He jokes around and makes them feel comfortable and acts like everything is “normal,” even when it isn’t.  From a parent perspective, he listens to our concerns and questions without making us feel like they are “silly.” "

Williams, Wanda MD
Kids First Pediatric Group, LLC, Stockbridge
“We have been with this practice since our son was born in 2006. He has seen all the providers, but Dr. Williams he has seen the most. All of the providers are excellent. Dr. Williams was always accurate with her diagnoses. She is personably and knowledgeable. I often make referrals to their practice."
Winner, Jonathan MD
Northside Pediatrics, Sandy Springs
“Dr. Winner is absolutely the best. He has been my family’s pediatrician for the past 10 years. He is knowledgeable, caring and kind. My kids love him!"
Wise, Kimberly MD
Sandy Springs Pediatrics and Adol. Medicine, Sandy Springs
“I was a patient as a child in the practice and now I bring my own children.  It is easy to make appointments, especially sick appointments even on Saturdays.  The facility is bright and cheerful.  The staff very friendly.  Very happy with Dr Wise who is a great listener.”
Young, Earl MD
West Atlanta Pediatrics, Lithia Springs
“Dr. Young has been taking care of our two little princesses since birth. He’s is fantastic with them and always makes their visit fun. He quickly answers our questions and puts us at ease. He is not only interested in the well-being of our kids but in the wellbeing of our family as well. This makes him a fantastic doctor!”
“Dr. Young is so laid-back and care-free with the kids, but always makes us feel like we are important. He’s not afraid to get silly or joke around to make our visits enjoyable. He listens and responds, making us feel like we are his only patients that day. Never lectures, but provides helpful advice, making it feel like a partnership in our children’s health."

Youngblood, Elaine MD
Kids First Pediatric Group, LLC, Stockbridge
“Dr. Youngblood is always very down to earth. She goes above and beyond every time. She always has a smile and caring attitude. All of the physicians, nurse practitioner, and support staff are friendly and ready to talk to/interact with.”
Yount, Sarah MD
Kennesaw Pediatrics, Kennesaw
“Dr. Sarah is exceptional with my daughter, always taking care to let her become comfortable with being examined and seeing the stethoscope etc. so that she is not scared.  As a result, my child is happy to see Dr. Sarah, the exams go smoothly, and I don’t have a stressed, screaming toddler to comfort after the visit.    Dr. Sarah also takes the time with parents to make sure they completely understand everything they covered in the visit, that nothing important was overlooked, and that she has answered all of your questions.  Her manner shows that she cares for her patients, and for the trust relationship between parent/patient/doctor that is necessary for completely effective care.    This is SO much better than visits with other doctors - even pediatricians.  Most doctors just jump right into the exam and expect the parent to hold the screaming baby down until they’re finished, and it may take hours for my child to fully get past the fear and stress of the exam.  I am always grateful that she never makes you feel like she’s just trying to get in and out just to see as many patients as possible.”
Zucker, Laura MD
North Fulton Pediatrics, Roswell
“Dr Zucker is exceptional. She listens to our concerns and explains everything in a way we feel we can relate to and understand. Her bedside manner is amazing - our children adore her and love going in to see her. We are extremely at ease knowing that our children are in her care."
