Webb Bridge Park
Webb Bridge Road, Alpharetta
Nestled
in a lush oasis of leafy woods, peaceful walking
trails and soccer fields lies a fantastic place
known as “The Webb Zone.” This playground is a
magnet for parents of young children in the
Alpharetta area, and for good reason.
The giant sandbox is a big draw for
toddlers. There are plenty of buckets, shovels,
trucks and other toys that “belong” to the park and
are always available. The sandbox is covered with a
large awning for sun protection.
The larger play area beckons bigger
kids with its wacky structures, tricky rope nets (to
climb), tire swing, slides, “hanging bridge” and
mazes of plastic tubes.
In warm weather, the manmade stream
is the main attraction. Originating near the swings,
it meanders between the sandbox and the grassy open
area at certain hours, which are posted. The shallow
stream is ideal for wading. Children delight in
going back and forth between the sandbox and water.
It’s a good idea to bring towels and a change of
clothing for the kids.
