Thrasher Park
Thrasher Street, Norcross
Nestled
into the trees and rolling hills of downtown
Norcross sits Thrasher Park, a charming place to
take your children and play the afternoon away.
The playground is ideal for both moms
and children. “I love it here because it’s relaxing
for me and fun for the kids,” says Jennifer Hall of
Norcross and mother of two. “All the shaded areas
are perfect for really hot days.”
Kids will definitely be pooped when
they leave Thrasher Park. Climbing on the towers,
swinging from the monkey bars and fireman’s pole,
and crossing the bridges help kids create imaginary
games and play for hours. Plus, there’s a sandbox
and bright, bouncing fire truck complete with sound
effects for the younger ones to enjoy. Swings and a
swiveling tic-tac-toe board complete the
playground’s amenities.
The ground is covered in a thin layer
of sand, and is soft and pliable to prevent
injuries. A fence protects the playground from the
street.
The park and parts of the playground
are handicap accessible.
