Bogan Park
North Bogan Road, Buford
As
one son climbed the monkey bars and the other ran
the bases on one of the several baseball diamonds,
Wendy Albea reflected upon the fun her children had
at the Bogan Park playground.
"We come out here a couple of
times a week,” says Albea. “My kids love it. There
are just all sorts of things for us to do.”
The playgrounds of the park
have many features that make it well suited for
smaller children and offer them a safe place to
monkey around. The bright red monkey bars are lower
to the ground and the line of swings include several
with a baby harnesses for toddlers.
The entire play structure sits
atop a soft, wood chip foundation that ensures a
safe landing off the long, three-curved slide and
the playgrounds brilliant red, thinner, multi-looped
slide.
Picnic tables surround the
playground so parents can chat with other grown-ups
while keeping an eye on their children as they play.
With an indoor aquatic center,
seven baseball and softball fields, a football
field, a sand volleyball and outdoor basketball
court, three playgrounds, a community center, picnic
pavilion and two miles of paved and dirt nature
trails, Bogan Park, only a few minutes from the Mall
of Georgia, has an activity to suit almost any
taste.
