Chattahoochee River Park
203
Azalea Drive, Roswell
The playground in Chattahoochee River Park is a
little climber’s heaven! From ladders to climbing
rocks, every inch of this playground involves
climbing fun.
Sheryl Jones of Alpharetta says her kids, Sophie,
4, and Noah, 6, really enjoy the climbing features.
“It’s a nice variety. It’s unique to have this much
variety of climbing equipment,” she says.
Set near the Chattahoochee River, the playground
includes a set of swings and a large, multi-activity
plastic and metal zone. Painted bright blue, green
and tan, it even has some faux rock finishes, adding
to rustic ambience. It has two slides; one large
twisting slide and a shorter one.
The playground climbing features include ladders,
rings, loops, steps and monkey bars, but the
highlights are the four climbing plastic rocks. One
rock has steps and handles built in for climbing up;
the other three are covered with primary-colored
climbing wall grips, as well as bars and foot holes.
However, none of the features allow the kids to
climb too high, and there’s a soft bed of woodchips
for them to fall onto.
