Pappasito’s
Cantina
Looking for the next level in Tex-Mex food? Pappasito’s
Cantina is up your alley then; it’s a semi-upscale Tex-Mex
dining experience that is sure to please the entire
family. Don’t let the prices overwhelm you – yes, it’s a bit
pricey, but the portions are generous enough to either share
with someone or savor the flavor again compliments of a to-go
box.
What’s on the menu: All things Tex-Mex! From
seafood, to chicken, pork and beef, Pappasito’s covers all the
bases. While not a lot of vegetarian options, the staff is happy
to accommodate requests as needed.
Why your kids will like it: A sure-fire boredom buster whether
you are waiting to be seated or waiting for your food to arrive,
is the tortilla machine. Ask your server when the next batch
will be made and escort your little ones over to watch magic in
the making as the in-going round dough balls emerge as flat
tortillas. The staff is also happy to provide dough balls for
kids to play with while you wait – this is instant
entertainment. The child portions are also very generously sized
(almost large enough for an adult) and cost about $5 including a
drink. Kids can choose from tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas,
as well as less traditional finds for a Tex-Mex joint like
chicken tenders and corn dogs.
Why parents will like it: A lengthy lunch menu is available
weekdays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. And, amid other dining families and
lively music (emitting from overhead speakers), the noise level
is high enough that any end of the toddler mood swing spectrum
won’t draw scrutiny from other diners. And, the hot and fresh
tortillas are perfect for enjoying the queso and signature smoky
flavored salsa.
