Lilburn City Park

Features: Hidden behind the Calvin Fitchett Municipal Complex is a gem of a playground that appeals to kids of all ages. They can choose from two play structures – one made specifically for younger kids – swings (including some with baby/toddler seats), and even some springy riding creatures. Climbing “walls” leading up to upper levels of each structure have scaled-down hand- and footholds, sized just right for little appendages. A triple slide with a little curve will have kids racing for the bottom.

Amenities: There’s an abundance of parking at street level. The playground area is well shaded, with nearby seating so parents can sit and watch as kids play. Restrooms are situated close to the play area. Tennis courts and a walking trail give families more reasons to explore Lilburn Park.

Directions: Lilburn City Park is in the heart of downtown Lilburn at 76 Main Street. From I-85, take the Indian Trail-Lilburn exit and head east. Turn right on Lawrenceville Highway. At the next light, turn left on Main Street. The municipal complex is located on the left, on the corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue. The playground is in the park behind the complex.
