Miss Katie’s Sideboard Restaurant at
Crossroads
Stone Mountain Park
U.S. Highway 78 East, Exit 8
Stone Mountain, GA 30087
770-413-5389
Weekdays: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Weekends: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

What’s on the menu: A good mix of kids’ favorites,
including hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, grilled cheese,
peanut butter sandwiches, chicken legs, and fries. Each kid’s
meal includes a drink, cookies and a special prize, all for
$4.99. For adults, good-sized portions of Southern-style food,
from meat platters to salads to sandwiches, will fill you up.
Why your kids will like it: This meal revolves around
flying/moving objects. Kids get to catch their own hand-tossed
rolls. Rolls are soft and doughy (good for eating or molding).
Each kid’s meal is served up on a Frisbee, which the kids get to
keep. A few of the tables will surprise you, so if you find
yourself eating with your elbows up by your neck – you are at a
trick table. We confirmed our table had risen when we couldn’t
see the shortest in our party. It happens slowly, so it may take
time to figure out.
Why parents will like it: Well priced for a theme park,
entrees range from $7-$12. Each meal includes a “pass around”
with fun treats for your family to try, including deep-fried
dill pickles, fried sweet potatoes and fried onion petals. A
little exotic sounding, but all the kids we came with, ranging
from ages 4 to 12, ate the pass arounds and their meals.
Make the most of this dining experience! Before (or after) you
eat there are lots of free things you can do with your family at
Stone Mountain Park. Hike up the mountain, visit the playground,
tour the quarry exhibit and more. Parking is $8 or $35 for a
year-round parking pass.
