Bethesda Park
225 Bethesda Church Road,
Lawrenceville
Features: There is something exciting for the
entire family at Bethesda Park, located in Gwinnett County.
Built on more than 150 acres, this park has three playgrounds.
The largest playground sits just beyond a large pavilion and is
divided by two low stone walls (that make for great seating).
The walls separate the toddler play equipment from the older
children’s area. Toddlers can enjoy three slides, steering
wheels, a wall with manipulative activities, and even a
miniature rock-climbing wall. Big brothers and sisters can go
wild with a spiral slide, zany bouncing bridge, telescopes and
several rock-climbing walls. To add to the fun there are
freestanding activities such as rocking animals to ride, an
abstract spinning structure, and a pogo stick pole. For those
kids who love the wind in their faces, there are plenty of
swings with both regular and baby seats.
Amenities: Bethesda Park has touch-free toilets, sinks and
hand dryers. Water fountains and the restrooms are in close
vicinity to the playgrounds. Park benches surround each
playground. The park is open daily from sunrise to 11 p.m.
Directions: Bethesda Park is located at 225 Bethesda Church
Road. From I-85 North (toward Lawrenceville) take the Pleasant
Hill Road exit and go east. From the right lane enter Ronald
Reagan Parkway. Take Ronald Reagan Parkway to the Bethesda
Church Road exit. Turn right off the exit and follow the signs
into the park.
