Spray away the summer heat
with a sprint through these favorite metro-area
fountains. Just grab your swimsuit and towels,
then jump into some cool, low-cost fun (most are
free!) that will help keep you
and your child refreshed.
Suwanee
Town Center Park’s newest addition is the Big
Splash fountain that has 43 jets and uses up to
1,400 gallons of water per minute. The water
geyser design and lighting bring interactive
play to this park. The fountain is open from 9
a.m.-10 p.m. seven days a week, weather

Atlanta Botanical Garden
The Sunflower Fountain at Atlanta Botanical
Garden gives kids a shower with its sunflower
shower heads. Look out below for the shooting
spouts of water from the giant flower on the

Mall of Georgia
The Village Pavilion at the Mall of Georgia
has a fountain that shoots water 20 feet high
and 30 feet in diameter. Kids are encouraged to
wear their swimsuits and splash around. 3333

Laurel Park
Sprayground, Gainesville’s newest playground
with a wet twist, features a 7-piece playground
apparatus that shoots out water in 11-minute
intervals. Also, there is a no depth leisure
pool for kids and parents to cool off in.

Centennial Olympic Park
The Fountain of Rings features lights and
jets of water synchronized with music. The
fountain also has a splash pad for children to
cool off in during the summer. The water play
area consists of 251 jets that shoot 12-35 feet
in the air creating a water sculpture of the
Olympic Rings. Water shows are at 12:30, 3:30,
and 6:30 p.m. daily. Centennial Olympic Park Dr.

Duluth Town Green
This interactive fountain offers a great way
to cool off. Its circle of 13 jets shoots water
continuously from 9 -10 a.m. every morning. The
giant spout in the middle shoots up to two
stories and the 12 smaller jets surrounding it
shoot up to 6 feet of water. 3142 Hill St.,
