Chocolate Sundays at Chocolate: The Exhibition
July 2 and August 6 • Noon-3 p.m.
Fernbank Museum of Natural History

Test your Chocolate IQ with a visit to Chocolate: The Exhibition through August 13. Do not miss the hands-on Education Alley, which features crafts and animal encounters related to the rainforest as well as some really cool puzzles and books for children.

Make it a Chocolate Sunday, held the first Sunday of each month, for a delectable sampling event presented by Whole Foods, featuring local chefs, chocolatiers and more. Be sure to arrive early as samples are while supplies last. Special activities and performances designed for children make it a treat for all ages.

During Chocolate Sunday, my family and I indulged (okay, gorged ourselves) on chocolate ice cream, chocolate-covered strawberries and nuts, chocolate-covered peanut brittle, chocolate shaped bears, and champagne truffles (for adults). The long lines moved quickly and didn’t seem to bother my children, ages 5 and 8, who were busy admiring the Giants of the Mesozoic that surrounded us in the Great Hall.

Chocolate Sundays are included in the price of Museum’s admission, $12 for adults, $11 for students and $10 for children ages 12 and under. 404-929-6400 for advanced ticket purchase.
